Modifying A2 front sight for set screws?

I have an A2 front sight that came off of a gun that was lined on the barrel.my barrel isn’t pined but has the dimple on the bottom of the barrel.on the bottom of the A2 sight it has a hole that lines up perfectly with the dimple in the barrel.can I tap the sight and drill another hole in it and put two set screws in it? If so will it be good enough and not move.

If your dead set on using it, you should at least try to copy what DZ does and use 5 set screw locations as it will be considerablely more durable. Take a look at the link below.
