Probably wont "HAVE" to depending on a few variables barrel and buffer wise. In the long run an adjustable gas block would be my first choice.

No. Most 24" Grendels don't have that.

Proper gas port diameter, gas block mating to the journal, and BCG/recoil system components make it unnecessary.

On by barrel all it has a dimple place.what type of gas block do I need?

The dimples on the underside are for set screw gas blocks. You can still use a clamp on though if you want.
