I am ready to join the 6.5 crew but can't find an upper n stock.

I decided to jump into the 6.5 grendel after a bit of reading. Now the hard part finding an upper.
I normally use PSA for my builds all 18 snd 20 inch uppers sold out. So I pop over to Bear Creek 18 and 20 uppers sold out.
Anybody have ideas how long their stuff stays out of stock?
I have a few lowers and kits in the work room from sales and such so I am ready to build..

Have you tried Hardened Arms, they sell 6.5 uppers, too.

Or, get a bare upper, GB Monster barrel, Barrel Nut, Handguard, Gas Block, etc. and build one up?

Joe bob outfitters has radical 6.5 complete uppers in stock, optics planet has Odin works complete uppers in stock.

I would also vote build. It's not hard at all and the only specialty tools you need are an upper vice block and barrel wrench (which you should buy or already own anyway) and a torque wrench (which you can rent for free at many autoparts stores).

That’s a screaming deal, I think that barrel contour may be a little on the heavy side but, for that price, I’d live with it.

I vote build and get a quality barrel and the group buy barrels seem to be quality for very low cost comparatively. You may get lucky with the roll of the dice with the cheap $300ish uppers but you may not like I did with my first Grendel. Lots of frustration and effort sending it back and waiting on return and ended up spending more than a really good upper would have cost in the end count ammo wasted, gas to range etc. Actually did spend more than I did to build my second Grendel with a Oden Works barrel group that cost more than I paid for the original BCA upper including purchasing a torque wrench. If you have one close Harbor Freight Tools has foot pound and inch pound torque wrenches for about $20 each and even cheaper with a coupon they are always sending out. I wish I would have known about the group buy barrels when I did my build would have saved me over $100. By the way you can't have just ONE Grendel so you might as well get the tools to build with.
