I use the PRI barrel nut wrench and the Brownells AR-15/M16 Barrel Extension Torque Tool.

I clamp the PRI wrench vertically in a vise and use a breaker bar in the Torque tool.
Line the inside of the PRI wrench with duct tape to prevent scratching the barrel.

You just need a standard barrel nut wrench and a torque wrench. The barrel nut wrench has pins that index into those holes and it also has a square hole that you can attach the torque wrench to. Make sure you have it 90 degrees to the wrench so that you don't increase the arm length of the torque wrench. If you search in YouTube this is one of the most common types of barrel nuts and there should be a ton of step by step demonstrations. Some of the nuts might look different but if they have those holes the procedure is the same.

Edit: many autoparts stores will loan you a torque wrench for free you just have to pay a $80-100 deposit that they will refund when you return it.

Are for bout the same price you could get a matrix handguard that has a nonindexing barrel nut that you can tighten down with a crescent or box end wrench.
