Have a monster barrel on the way and am shopping for a flash suppressor for it.
It is a 5/8-24 thread but what I have found is the 6.5 flash suppressors are 9/16, and the 7.62 flash suppressors are 5/8.
Looking at the VLTOR or AAC flash suppressors, do I need to just buy the 7.62 version?

Two ways to skin this kat.
Get a 9/16 threaded device and a thread adaptor or just get the 5/8 threaded 30 cal device and rock on and never know the deference in performance.

I went with the VG6 epsilon in 6.5! Look around they were on sale.

The VG6 brakes look pretty slick but I'm looking to cut down on the flash. I hunt at night sometimes with night vision goggles that aren't auto gated so to err on the side of caution I try to keep the flash down.
Looks like I will just get a 7.62 flash suppressor, looks like the easiest route as long as it's just as effective as the 6.5 versions.

The vg6 epsilon iirc does both brake and flash hiding. that being said there's only about 2% difference for a 7.62 on a 6.5 barrel.

Just bought a AAC blackout 90T 7.62 flash hider, was the only thing I still needed to complete my build, now just waiting for all the parts to arrive. Thanks for all the input.

Buy a 5/8 phantom and be done with it.
They also look awesome.
