With the recent news that AA has released legal patents for the 6.5 how soon will reamers be available?

I thought they were available all along as long as they conformed to AA's specification. Midway has sold PTG 6.5 Grendel chamber reamers for some time.

I thought the same thing, but just don't know. Bill A. told me he would license the Grendel to anyone, as long as they cut chambers to "...that diagram right there." No fees, no sinister controls on the market to limit availability for some crazy reason, etc. A lot of people wouldn't agree, so they had to pound sand until SAAMI spec was accomplished, and the license opened.

PTG ran those for Midway and "forgot" to mention it. No idea what dimensions were used though.

Grendel reamers should be freely available. I would recommend Dave Manson for the best HSS and JGS for production grade carbide stuff.

Not my place to lead this one by the hand now.
