Since you made me do it, I had to measure mine. Four rounds each out of one box of SST and one box of AMAX: SST COAL average was 2.240", AMAX COAL was 2.238".
Then I measured cartridge base to ogive. SST was 1.677", AMAX was 1.661".
This obviously isn't a big enough sample to make a conclusion, but in my case the SST's were a bit longer. Probably not enough of a difference to worry about.
