I think I may have the Grendel fever, started with the Aero Precision build that started life as 300 BLK, its dressed in suitable black Magpul, UTG Pro forend, Odin 18" LBC with matching BCG. SLR adjustable clamp on gas block, HiperFire SDT trigger, and topped with a 3-9X40 Leupold VX-R Patrol optic. An H3+ buffer with EP Wolff springs tames her bite to 5.56 level. She weighs a svelte 8 lbs empty.
Next came the Howa Mini HB from Brownells, after much debate between the LSS chassis or a Boyds, I logically concluded why not both, she has the LSS in FDE with the Matching Magpul ACS-L stock and K2+ pistol grip. (i have the FDE PRS on order). Glass is a Vortex Viper HS-T 4-16X44 with an Outer Impact 20 MOA rail. 1st ten rounds down the pipe are reflected in the first target pic, I think she'll be a shooter. May try the Timney trigger later, My pull gauge has puts her at a tad under 3lbs. Having spent 30+ years pulling AR triggers of 8+ lbs she is like a feather. Her empty weight is right at 8.5 lbs.
Last is the only gun in my safe that I didn't build from an action or from scratch and it is an excellent example of the Lightweight Mini Howa in Highlander Kryptek from my local gunstore. Ordered in December for my Grandboy and got it two weeks ago. It has surprisingly nice Nikon Prostaff 5 FFP 3.5-14X40 scope. The second target attests to it's abilities. The reticle is fatter than what I would like for precision work but for minute of hog, deer, beast it is fantastic. She is a light an agile 7.2 lbs as dressed.
