Finally got her put together. Only shot for function as the scope is headed back due to a canted reticle. Will post a range report as soon as I get it back. Thanks for all the help!

Looks good. I was wondering how the dimple fluted barrels would look. Very nice.

Looks good. The only thing I see, you'll probably be fine with what you have, I would go with a stronger billet upper with such a long heavy barrel.

Looks awesome. Seems like a shame to cover up so much of the barrel with the handguard though.

I just wanted to try something different with the dimple fluting. The MUR is supposed to be thick and strong but if it is suspect I wouldn't mind swapping it out for a billet upper and saving it for a different build.

You should be very happy with that build, it will shoot lights out, nice job! The MUR will be fine, I've got one on a 24" .750 Satern non fluted and it is solid.

Thanks. I thought the MUR was solid. I am pretty disappointed with the scope. I have one on a 25-06 bolt gun that I am happy with so I figured it would be good for the Grendel. I am so stoked about this cartridge. After 6 months of waiting I wanted to shoot this thing.

I have a 22" Bartlien from PF (.920" non fluted) and it is a great shooter. I went with the Mega Arms billet upper, but the Vltor MUR was my second choice to hang that much barrel off of.
