Where did all the uppers go?

Almost every distributor is out of stripped uppers. What gives? I want an 18" grendel bad. My 24" is just to much to carry.

2016 pre-election jitters is my read on the issue. After 2012, experienced gun manufacturers and owners wised up so a lot of us are starting earlier than usual and even now certain items have gotten tight. Sometime before, during or after the GOP and DEM conventions, depending on our individual perceptions of the magnitude of the November disaster, we very well could see another two or so year period of almost nothing we want being available. Buy now and make commitments to join NRA and vote in November

Got a bcm blemished.

I got of a couple of the BCM "blems" too. Excellent deal for what you get. I could not hardly find a "blem" on them. Be careful the receivers are undersized and are very tight fitting with most barrels.(not trying to insult your intelligence) I found out the hard way when test fitting. I had to get a little creative to get the barrel back out. All is well once I got the barrel and receiver fitted together. Both guns are tack drivers- Just giving you a heads up if you haven't worked with those receivers before.

I just bought a upper ( with port cover and forward assist ) from AA for $99, also picked up one of his 16" bbl for $195. This barrel comes fluted and just looks very nice, I could not pass it up. P.S. no offense to BFT .

There's uppers out there and available. Sometimes have to look beyond the vendors one would normally deal with. Sometimes might have to pay a little more if you really want it now.
