Just purchase a Savage 10 FCM for conversion to a grendel. Does the hoard have any recommendations for components for the conversion or gunsmiths that can do the work.
1. Barrel maker - preferably cut rifled
2. Stock
3 scope mounts / rings
4. muzzle break
5. Recommended powder for bolt gun
6. Primers

I know it is not a cut barrel, but BHW makes a savage drop in, chambered in .264 LBC, Polygonal. Those are shooters.

1. Pac-Nor "super match" barrel, button rifled, "Grendel Match" (.295" neck)
2. I kept the AccuStock...works fine
3. User preference; I used Talley Lightweight rings
4. No brake required...can shoot all day long
5. Depends upon what bullet you go with...right now I've using CFE223

I put theses on a Remington 700 Grendel and like them (1) Pac-Nor barrel mine is fluted. (.295). (2) Could have kept the same stock (3) I also like my lightweight Talley rings. Maybe consider a tactical bolt handle

Give these guys a call. I don't know if they do Grendel but a couple of my shooting buddies have other calibers from them and are very happy.

I have dealt with Jom @ Apache Gun Works and he is reasonable and very good at making barrels for the average guys that don't have a ton of money for a big name barrel. Everyone seems to love the barrel they have, and have their own opinion. Here's mine

I don't doubt it. I know people who might say this or that about particular blanks, but I have no problem with Green Mountain barrels. I've used a couple of them (.6br, .308), and I've run into a guy that had a really nice .22br with one (short super heavy profile). His rifle shot just fine, as did all the few I have experience with. My father and I are currently putting a 12 twist stainless .308 Green Mountain on my Ruger 77 MK2. In fact, I prefer Green Mountain to Shilen. My father has a Krieger blank that's been sitting around, because he has yet felt the need to replace his Green Mountain.

If you want True match - We would consider doing it with a Bartlein barrel. We have done it before but with Remington 700's.
