I am mounting a new scope on my Grendel. What is the preferred method.
1. Mounting directly to the receiver
2. Mounting to a Zero MOA riser attached to the receiver
3. Mounting to a 10/20/30 MOA riser attached to the receiver

I would amount directly to the receiver and use the appropriate rings and or mount to give you the appropriate height and or your preferred scope angle, a lot of it depends on what scope you are using, how much internal adjustment the scope has and how far you plan on shooting, if you are not shooting super long distance you don't really need any angle in your mount
QD is a neat feature but not usually needed and often a hinderance
If you don't need QD or angle in your mount I would look at the ar stoner ar mount its a simple and cheap design with no frills but there is not a hole lot to go wrong with it either, mine has yet to fail me

Other than that if you want some angle or QD I would just go with a larue mount which has your desired features and call it a day

A quality scope deserves a quality mount. I like the AAD AR mounts and the ADM recon mounts myself. What's your budget and will you be using the scope for multiple rifles or taking the scope off during storage.

I have purchased a Larue PRS20 mount. I will be using it on various rifles.

If you have the room (depending on size of scope optics), always mount with the fewest number of interfaces. Since you already have 20 MOA built into the mount (assuming it is this one? http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-20-moa-psr-scope-mount-qd ) there is no need to add any more angle into the mount if you need to raise it up to mount a larger diameter scope.
