I am at the point that I want to replace the ALG Defense Combat Trigger I have with a smoother trigger with less pull weight. I use about 1.5 lbs. pull on my bolt action rifles. I have heard good things about the American Gold Trigger System.
Does anyone here use the American Gold Trigger System for the AR-15?

I use one on my rifle and it has the best trigger pull that I have ever felt on any AR-15 so far. It is easy to install, has a very fast lock time, and has been 100% reliable. It is expensive compared to other match triggers but it is my favorite.

i debated between the ar gold trigger and the geissele hi speed national match trigger earlier this year i settled in on the geissele for is more robust construction and full power hammer spring, greater range of adjustment with spring changes ranging from 2-6.5 pounds allowing it to be used for anything under the sun i bought mine from tier one arms http://www.tieronearms.com/Geissele-Match-p/hs-match.htm free shipping and coupon code 15off200 will get you down to 254 shipped with all three spring sets
they are both godd triggers but the geissele is a little better imho there is a series of videos from geissele which provide the story behind the trigger development and choosing the right trigger for your intended shooting and unless you make a few hundred bucks an hour its a half hour well spent

Appreciate your input. I had not seen this particular video before. It made the choice easier.

I have four AR GOLD triggers. Three in AR10s and one in a Grendel. I won't use anything else, and yes I have tried many others.
They are adjustable with an Allen wrench while still in the lower. But they will only adjust down to 2-1/2 lbs on my trigger gauge.
My understanding is they can go lower with a spring change.

the set up part is worth viewing the install is pretty simple
