I was in 2/504 myself earlier in my career. Shittiest unit I ever had the displeasure of working with. Motivated me to move down the street though so I guess it worked out. You're build looks great.

I was in 3-325th AIR, ditto on the unit leadership, although we had some great Joes and a few good junior Noncoms. The 82nd is its own worst enemy. Once you let Joe loose in LGOPs, the enemy (and everyone else)better get the flip out of dodge because the abuse Joe has received will now follow the path of least resistance through his sight picture, and whatever is in front of it.
Anyway, I have been wanting one of those monolithic uppers from Mega ever since they introduced them. Post some groups daddy!

Guys, you're right about that unit. I got out after 4 years - bitter-sweet memories. Anyway, I am waiting on my rifle telescope 5-20 X 50 HD FFP, SF, etc. I will also be getting a Geissele match trigger. When I get those I am going to get some of the 6.5 Grendel ammo with the Lapua brass, and 123 grain scenar bullets. Then I will post groups.

I was in 3/325 as well. I liked that unit a lot more than the 504. But of course I was there in 2002-2004 when the war was fun. But anyways. Bittersweet memories....good way of puttin' it.

That is what you see when a barrel is properly seated in the upper. If you do not see that (after supplied anti-seize is applied) then do not screw in the nut and torque down. If you do this the head space and everything else will be out of whack and you will damage the Monolithic upper.
