WND.com found that the message read in part:
“Users are not to use AF NIPRNET systems to access the Verizon phone records collection and other related news stories because the action could constitute a Classified Message Incident.”
This story has no legs, but is being used to make hay in a politically charged atmosphere. As everyone knows, the program referenced is classified, and this is nothing more than the military, in its perpetually backwards style, attempting to shutter the windows and doors in an effort to avoid contaminating their unclassified network. SOP.

There were concerns that the news reports might contain classified information. Any trace of classified material on a non classified machine (NIPR) would create a security breach. It was not about limited the service members rights to find information. Rather that it might cause a security problem.

Essentially, yes. DoD rules specifically prohibit classified information from being introduced into their un-classified networks, regardless of the source or circumstances. In this case, an escape to the wild has occurred, but it matters not to the government. "Rules are Rules".

if i was obama, and i had my mind thinking i could do that i would too! the problem is he hs run his course and all his scandals and his real agenda is finally coming to light and he is being shown for what he truly is. an extremely poor leader at best. he has lost all respect of anyone around him and has only to hope for a phony conversation from anyone who has to actually have a conversation with him. its actually pretty sad but he made his bed,,,,

dammitman!…it was the "comm nazi's" (as we have fondly called the computer security folks in the USAF for many years) who issued the NOTAM, not Obama. This really has nothing to do with what Obama wants or doesn't want. There have been cases like this under Clinton and Bush as well.
But I do agree with the rest of your analysis on "our dear leader"…

The issue is that by abusing power, it compromises legitimate operations. This is the "start many fires" approach of a revolutionary (Obama), and let the institutions try to put them out, while you are off starting another.
It agitates those involved against each other, rather than identifying the perpetrator in the White House as the true enemy.

Do you really think that command and control stops with Obama at the top? No puppet reaches the height of the great spotlights without having been created and groomed by (or at least vetted by) the Big Money.
Occasionally a puppet "leaves the reservation" and creates great problems for Big Money, but, as best I read current events, Obama is still on task of bringing the USA into Big Money's NWO. What has he done that does not consolidate power for the globalist control freaks?
