The destroyer's Executive Order nullifies an act of Congress. In our local papers editorial we have a small dedicated anti gun crowed who keep writing false, lying stat's to support their gun paranoia. No matter how many times people counter their false stats with real ones they keep repeating them as if it is fact. They never contradict the true stats they just keep repeating their same lies.This seems to work on certain soccer mom types and the un informed. It kind of supports the idea of " keep repeating a lie and it will become a truth".

Does your legal system allow for a class action suit against a news outlet for libelous slander. At least the facts could be argued and the truth might just have to be reported.

The truth has been an enemy to the mostly foreign-owned press in this country since the late 1800's. In addition to providing real journalism via new media, one of the only campaigns I see fit for the apparatchik press is for us to engage in a recycling program, involving using their printed media as collection devices for the excrement of irresponsible dog owners who follow the principles espoused by the publishers, then placing said materials into envelopes with "Return to Sender" labels with the appropriate addresses of the criminally negligent and obstructionist warriors of ideological propaganda.

Not too many employees would want to work for CBC, MSNBC, Time Warner, ABC, PBS, CNN, etc. if they were already in the ratings pitfall, and now the office space smells like the filth they spew into print and digital media....

I have never heard of a class action libel suit, but perhaps an attorney can edify us—not that I would expect the proceedings to be any less corrupt than the rest of the "justice" system.

In the US it's hard to get a libel or slander verdict because you have to prove "malice aforethought". In other words, you have to prove they knew their info was wrong and they did it intentionally.
Just proving their info was wrong and you were hurt by it is not enough. That sets the bar very high.
