Gentlemen, when we first opened this forum I posted this

Our gracious site owner has decided that we need a place to discuss 2nd Amendment issues, particularly in light of recent happenings.
Please understand that this is NOT a place to bash and trash. I've already deleted a few posts that were inappropriate for a family forum.
Please remember, we've created a community of people who appreciate CIVIL discourse, even though we may have disagreements.
Keep it appropriate, on subject, and most importantly, remember that we are talking among friends! Treat everyone as if they were and are your hunting buddies.....(wait, let me rephrase that....)treat them like they are your new acquiantance that owns the coolest gun you've ever seen and you hope to inherit one day!
Apparently, some have not read this, while others have chosen to ignore it.
I am spending 90% of my moderation time dealing with a couple threads and a couple posters. That will no longer be the case.
The 2A forum is a SIDELIGHT forum, it is not the focus of the 6.5 Grendel Forum. There are plenty of political discussion forums. You are more than welcome to post long theories and histories there.
If you monitor your use, and find that more than half your posts are in the 2A forum or political threads, I would invite you to spend your energies on one of those forums dedicated to politics. The Grendel Forum is simply not the place for that.
The 2A forum was created as a place to discuss direct 2A challenges and possible responses, not to devolve into endless political debate and name calling. Please read the above carefully and consider your posts.
I will not be warning anyone else. If I find posts that are inappropriate, offensive, or otherwise demeaning to the forum, its members, our country, etc. I will simply suspend privileges.
For those of you who wish to proclaim censorship, I would point out that this is not a public forum, it is privately owned and moderated. You are welcome to air your views on your own forum if you so desire.

I like the 2A posts, its keeps us uptodate on the idiots trying to eliminate our 2nd Ammendment rights. With that said I was on at least one of the threads mentioned and stopped posting simply because I didnt want to get drawn into the squabling amongst each other. Bwaites is a fair Moderator and if the thread got removed it was in need of removing.

I do enjoy the AR platform. I have built five of them in .223/5.56. As I am old and retired, it is what I enjoy doing. The 6.5 Grendel is a new one for me.
When I was going to school and later, the AR platform had not made an appearance. When it did, we called it the Mattel Toy.
There was a .22 shooting range on the Basement of the school, Rifles in the Pickup Trucks in the School parking lot, Shotguns, with ammo, in the Principal's Office, no one dreamed of the school shootings we have today. Or like the Vagas shooting. What happened to our Society, anyway?
I think that the AR is just an excuse for the Left to do their anti gun thing. If it was not for the nasty looking Black rifle, it would be something else. The Left, and particularly the UN, the UN is more Left than you realize, are after the principal that they will be the only ones with firearms. You cannot have a Socialist government with a people armed. Not in our economic, in dept to our eye balls, status.
We are not going to get out of this by the use of the Ballot box.

This thread was started by Bill Waites to give some ground rules for the 2A Forum.
It is not the place nor is this the forum to post threads about social issues. Particularly when it comes to implying that a civil war is the only way out of the current situation.
If you have something to post about the 2A, start a new thread but it needs to contain factual information about the 2A.

I’ve strayed away from another gun forum,which I won’t mention the name of.Because,they focused too much on politics and political views.We all have our views that no one can change.And we all vote.
I am here because I live to shoot!And I love the 6.5 Grendel cartridge!This is one of the forums that focuses only on the sport I love.These sites are my escape.
That being said,I appreciate you keeping this site all about the 6.5 Grendel and the shooting sport.
