This isn't the original text, but I'm sure you can see how it can be applied....
First they came for the machine guns,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't own one.
Then they came for the assault weapons,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't own one.
Then they came for the pistols,
and I didn't speak out because I didn't own one.
Then they came for me,
and there were no guns left to stop them.

Don't budge an inch unless you are willing to give up a mile. Now is the time to get everyone involved. People that think this is only about guns are naive. Free people that don't want to be ruled need to take a stand.

I was reading to make sure I got the quote correct and I stumbled across this on his wikipedia page. Read the end of the section "Democracy", specifically: ....he thought that common people had dangerous and angry passions that could be easily aroused by demagogues if they had the vote; he feared the authoritarian impulses that could be empowered by these passions would undermine cherished traditions and established religion, leading to violence and confiscation of property....

I've always loved that quote by Edmund Burke
