My Grendel has too little headspace, and I have a chrome lined Sabre Defense barrel. I believe Sabre is out of business.
Since the barrel is chrome lined, I don't think you can ream it deeper, at least with standard reamers.
Anyone have any ideas?

Are you using a Grendel-type bolt with recessed bolt face, or 7.62x39mm-type bolt with standard recess?

I am using the bolt that came with the Sabre barrel, I believe it is the recessed. From the front of the bolt to the bolt face I get .15 inches. This is deeper than the M1S 7.62x39 bolt I have.

The gauges are always a hair longer than the ammunition. Does ammunition fit the chamber. Also you might have a short bolt. Someone just posted that they had a Sabre bolt set at 0.131" recess depth. Spec is 0.136 -0.003 or 0.133 to 0.136. A max spec bolt might be the answer.

Ammo does fit the chamber, and the rifle cycles. I have shot ~ 200 rounds of Wolf and it functions fine, but I get the signs of brass flowing on the bolt head. I shot Hornady for the first time last weekend. It chambers fine. With my adjustable gas block turned off, the rifle still cycled. The next shot, the gas block came loose.
With the bolt head recess of .15, does that mean that I have too much headspace? If so, I don't understand why it wouldn't close on a "go" gauge. I removed the extractor and ejector when using the gauge, it wouldn't close. It is weird, but when I went to retract the bolt, it was stuck, I really had to work to get it free.
Maybe my gas block was the problem. Just wanting to make sure I don't blow up the gun.

I checked my gas system, and the adjustable gas block doesn't restrict gas, and the block is loose. The set screws are red loc-tited on, I must not have torqued them down enough when I put it on. I have a spare g.b. and will switch it out.
I was worried that too much pressure had caused the problems, but I think the headspace and everything is most likely not an issue.
