I read this morning that the bill was not looked upon favorably by the appropriations committee and it looks like they weren't going to let it through. Apparently, the cost of implementing the law was too high for their tastes.
Not to make anyone relax and stop fighting but possibly a small victory.
One advantage of living in a state that has major budget shortfalls I suppose.

Actually I am at the most north eastern part of the country which I consider the end of the world. I was just trying to help my brothers in Mexico, I mean California.

There is a growing movement to secede from the State by all the Conservative Counties, and let the socialist sess holes of LA, SF, and other coastal areas wallow in the mire of their own making.
Look at this map and understand that all the red is conservative, and their votes don't count for squat. The population of the red areas is greater than Nevada, New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, and Oregon combined, yet all 55 electoral votes go to the Communist party by default-they control the voting districts and gerrymandering schemes. Secession and creation of new Free States is so long overdue, it's disgusting. The socialists have spent all the conservatives' money, and are raising taxes, while being caught in graft and corruption scandals across the wretched State, while only being funded through June of this year. How are they running the State budget right now?

I also read some San Fran based liberals introduced a bill requiring dealers to report anyone who purchases 1000 rounds or more to local authorities. Iowa sucks when it comes to NFA weapons and suppresors, in other words you can't have them. However, knowing it could be worse helps me through the dissapointment. Good luck out there.

The map in Illinos is even more lop sided. When Al Gore ran he carried Illinois with 3 counties IIRC, Cook, Champaign (U of I), and Alexander (Cairo). I wish the Cook County metro area would slide off into Lake Michigan and become the 51st state or better yet a whole new country like Coanada.

It's pretty painful living out here. I carry my neutered rifles in a guitar case going to the range so I don't have to answer any questions about them. I get ammo and reloading supplies shipped to my folks place since SF has pitched such a fit most company's wont ship anything here.
There are also several counties on that map that are very Dem oriented for voting but also strongly pro gun. Mendocino county (where I grew up) was for quite a while as close to shall issue as you could get in California. The sheriff there considered personal protection to be "just cause" and would issue CCW's for it to just about anyone who wanted one. Lake and Yolo counties are also pretty good about guns. Well pretty good as California goes.

It reads like a comintern guest list. These people are guilty of some of the most heinous and egregious crimes against the people of California, and the US. From Pelosi's tax-payer-funded drunken flights (over $103,000 on alcohol alone) on her personal 757 from the executive fleet, to Feinstein's defense contracts steered to her husband's businesses, to the anti-business legal environment espoused by leftists, you don't have to be even lucid to know why businesses and freedom-loving people are abandoning ship from that State.
There is a growing movement of County Sheriffs who will issue CCW permits, but you can only have a 10rd mag in your handgun, while our own gubm't equips the narco-traffickers with full-auto assault rifles, grenade launchers, grenades, and a full spectrum of military material under the Foreign Military Sales Program, with the full complicity and knowledge of the US State Dept.

My grandfather was in WW1,My dad inWW2 (battle of the Bulge) both older brothers in Viet Nam(Marines). I can remember my grandfather telling us as kids the country will not be taken over from the outside but from within. Seems to be a lot of truth in that statement made to us in the early 1960s.

I'am right there with you, my Uncle lives in Peoria IL and HATES Chicago, says it is the WHOLE problem with IL. Tells me all the time if he wasn't so da** old he would leave, he is 86.
