New to the forum and really enjoy the forum atmosphere. I picked my Grendel up the other day and since you guys convinced me to get a grendel I figured I'd show it off. I just got a chance to shoot it yesterday. So far I love it! Extremely well made. When my ffl called he said he couldn't believe the quality for the money. So far It shoots well, but waiting to show group pics when I get another chance to shoot with some better ammo. Fist time out all I had was Wolf. Hoping to shoot again this weekend. It did get a couple decent 3 shot groups at 100yds with the wolf so hoping for even better with the Hornady. Most were a little over an inch, but a couple were right at or just under an inch. I did get a few jams with the wolf. Hoping for better results with the Hornday. Anyways, here's a pic of rifle. More to come. For some reason it turns the pic to the left. Not sure why.

Wow I've been debating ordering the chrome moley 20" barrel with float tube also. Your post might push me over the edge to where I'll order this configuration. Please post more pictures of your rifle and groups. Welcome to this sight. Hanging around here does get addicting!

Welcome. Let us know what type of malf's you had. What buffer weight are you using in the telestock? If it's 2.9oz, you probably want to get a heavier buffer, like an H3.
Try the Hornady 123gr AMAX factory loads. What Wolf loading were you shooting, the 123gr SP or 120gr MPT?

I was shooting 123 sp. I read several customer reviews on the ammo site that the mpt had issues and the sp shot better. I guess it didn't make much difference for me. I'm not sure yet what buffer I have. I do plan to check that out. I'm hoping that the issue is the ammo, but I guess a properly functioning rifle should eat anything you feed it. It happened 3 times out of 60rds. The empty case would hang on the ejector and stop the bolt from closing. It seemed to me to be cause the brass was so soft. The ejector would make some serious marks on the base of the stuck case and crush the neck. But no real bad marks on the rounds that feed properly. If the issue persists I'll post pics of the brass and get you guys opinion. I have a range in my back field so I can shoot whenever except this rifle. Got a little one on the way so wife wanted to wait till after the little one got here. I couldn't wait after seeing all ya'lls toys. So anyways, I'll try and sneak it out the house in the next day or so. HAHA

Oh, I picked up 100rds of the 123gr AMAX. So we shall see as soon as I get a chance.

Well I got a chance to shoot this evening. The 123gr AMAX is a much better round than the Wolf. Only got to fire 26 shots, but it didn't jam once and just felt like the rifle was operating better. Maybe its just in my head. Here's a pic of the best group I got. I forgot to mention it before, but this is a chrome lined barrel. I got chrome lined cause they had it on hand and I didn't have to wait for another barrel to get in stock. I was a little concerned it might not be a shooter, but it seems to have come out fine.

Just purchesed an Alexander Arms Overwatch with 24'barrel new. What can I expect overall from this rifle? Be gentle.

Judging by what everyone has said about AA I can't imagine you not being happy with it. As far as the grendel round itself goes I've only shot a grendel rifle twice. So far it seems to be a great round. I like the fact that it doesn't have the recoil of heavier calibers like my .30 cal. Hopefully someone with personal experience with AA will respond.
