Where has the grendel been all my life?! - sta500rdr - 04-10-2011 So I took out my new grendel yesterday. WOW!!! This is an amazing round. I sited it in and once I got used to it, I was shooting one jagged hole at 100 yards. Good hearing protection is definitely a must! I had read your other thread about barrel break in did you do any thing with this barrel or did you just take her out and shoot it? I can hardly wait to be able to complete my build and see how shee shoots. What are you using for sights? AND some pictures would be nice. Swabbed the barrel every few rounds or so, just to make sure I was getting a consistent shot. I was pretty skeptical about getting a muzzle break. I have never had one before, so I figured what the heck. It is amazing the difference it makes. I did some shooting with it on, then took it off and did some more shooting. It is pretty amazing the difference. Here is a picture of the beast itself. The target was turned to mush due to torrential down pours last night. I will have another trip to the range shortly.
