Lots of unconstitutional laws at stake in California as well as the rest of the country.

The 2-step approach which CA residents suffered from the worst is over. However, seem CA is still trying to infringe the people.

This is a beautiful state to hunt, and we have a lot of BLM land. I'm struggling to build in Lake County, I can't wait to make like geese get the flock out of here.

Captain Hairdo's days are numbered. This state hasn't always been like that, he's turned it into a real $#!T#O!E...my wife won't go to SF by herself anymore, the financial district is like a cesspool. There are literally no businesses on Market Street. SF was once the most beautiful city in our country, IMO, and it's a complete $#!T#O!E now...

BTW, in regard to undeveloped land for hunting, there is some that is classified a specific way that the taxes are very low. If you're looking for land to hunt on, make sure you find something like that. I'm told that land that borders the BLM land is often like that.

I have 50 rounds of TTSX 120s and just ordered a box of TTSX 100s. Have you tested any of the Hornady CX bullets???

EDIT: Dianeb, thanks for showing your loads. I'm loading H335 currently but have Varget and 8208 XBR on hand also. #1 gives me some confidence with the TTSX 100s coming. Group #4 with the TTSX 120s looks like dead pig to me (actually every single one of your groups looks like dead pig). That looks like a bolt action you're shooting, right?

All of your groups look XLNT to me.

Just for the record, I haven't hunted much since I was a kid, and I'm 65 now. My wife hates firearms. My kids, so-so. My daughter who is now 28 did go to the range with me when she was about 13, one of my friends unfriended me on FB for posting her groups, she was so proud.

My son is 32 and doesn't shoot at all, but he's willing to pack in with me and help pack meat out, we're definite meat eaters...

Pig is what I'm targeting mostly, but A zone has deer tags over the counter for the past few years, but pig is what I'm mostly after. I would like a bear rug also, if that opportunity comes up. That would take a bit more work to pack out.

I met a gal who built a log home up at Discovery Lake, if you know where that is...I remember a cool place called the Tikki Hut close to there which you could 'que your own steak over coals. The log craftsman who built the home for her tipped me on to the place. I've known a few people who have lived in Grass Valley area, it was once touted as being a mini Silicon Valley, but the dot-bomb crushed it. Cisco used to have a building out there until around 2000.

The 40 acres you mentioned, that should be completely legal to hunt on, I think anything over 5 or 10 acres is legal to shoot on. (so I have read)

EDIT: I was pretty off there, but the steakhouse is the Willo Steak House, it was originally a Quonset Hut. Not sure if you still can, but you used to be able to 'que your own steak.

The log home was on Discovery Way, across from a lake/pond. it's a beautiful log home built by one of the great log craftsmen of our day, Tim Bullock.
