My First Build - Jacked Burton - 07-28-2023

Decided to build me an AR andafter looking around and I settled on 6.5 grendel as it seemed like the best caliber overall despite the ammo availability.
I was shooting detents all over the living room putting the lower together but I finally got it .

Upper is a BCA side charger with Hera CQRv2 grip
Lower is Anderson, CMMG parts,Hera CQRv2 stock and Aero A2 buffer
Rise RA-242 3.5lb trigger.
Optic is a Romeo5 clone borrowed off my shotgun until i get a 3x or 5x prism(currently eyeballing a Swampfox Sabre) now that I've found out I have an astigmatism due to looking through the cheap greendot lol.
I have a Hera IRS 12" quadrail currently on backorder to go along with a 3.25" Kaw Valley Precision magnum linear compensator that will tuck nicely inside the rail leaving about 3/4" exposed.
Hopefully my ASC mags show up this weekend.

Thanks for posting, interesting rifle! Hopefully ammo situation improves for 6.5 Grendel as AAC is supposed to start producing 6.5 Grendel ammo soon. Druid Hill Armory and Precision Firearms both sell 6.5 Grendel ammo. Hornady and Federal seem to release 6.5 Grendel ammo in batches. Nosler sells 6.5 Grendel ammo as well as Alexander Arms but I’ve never seen either in stores to buy. When you see 6.5 Grendel Hornady or Federal ammo for sale you need to buy as it sells out very fast.

I don’t shoot much factory 6.5 Grendel ammo since I reload. Watch the online vendors for sales or availability of 6.5 Grendel ammo.

That looks to be a SBR with vertical foregrip. I wouldn't be posting pictures of it unless you have a tax stamp to go along with it.

AAC starting to produce for us sounds promising.
I haven't really looked into reloading yet but I'm open to the possibility.
How much would it cost to get all the equipment to be able to?
Like mid level stuff that's not garbage where I could press out 50-100 when I want.
I don't really see myself shooting more than 500 rounds a year until $5 a box Wolf returns(FJB)

This will be for homedefense and I live in Tn where our law says SBR is completely legal but I fixed the photo for the glowies.
But as far as the $200 bribe/extortion I'll tell ya like ol' Jack Burton always says .."The cheque is in the mail".
