On my way to the range today...
I changed scopes on 3 rifles...

5 shot groups at 100 yards with the Uintah 6.5 Grendel...
120gr ELD-M, 28.5 grains of A2520 and CCI 450 primers...
OAL 2.260 inches..

Athlon Argos BTR 6-24X50...I almost never use it higher than 16 power...
I had the Vortex Venom on it for awhile but it was very heavy...
My friend has the Arken 4-16X50 on her 224 Valkyrie and
she loves it...

Do you have optical issues with the Argos at higher magnification ?
Is that why you run it lower power ?
This is one that's on my narrowed-down list of possibilities.

The only thing I didn't care for with the scope
is the eye box is very tight on 24 power other than that
the glass is very clear for a under $500 scope...

I have a few Warne single piece 20 MOA mounts in 30 mm but Warne also makes a 20 MOA 34 mm mount. Midway has this scope on sale for $160 this week and Gunmagwarehouse has the same scope mount for $150 with an additional 10% off with coupon code. Im sure there are better mounts but I like these and they have a decent price.

I have the UTG 30mm 20 MOA mount on 2 of my
rifles...$35 on Amazon and have never come loose...
