I caught a glimpse of him about 150 yards away through the trees. I picked a opening and waited for him to walk through and luckily he did. Impact was 6-8 inches back from what I prefer, but he was walking and honestly was hell of a shot. There wasn't an exit wound and he only ran about 60 yards. Vertically it was dead center.

18" monster barrel. I think the first batch from Green Mountain. It's a tack driver.
In Pendleton County KY.
My 79 year old uncle shot the other one. He could barely lift up his Rem 700 deluxe to shoot it. He was laughing about that though.

Ive been using the 120 grain Speer Gold in my Grendel this year. I choose it because I figured it would give the best chance of producing an exit hole. In the five deer shot with this load it has produced 4 exits. I am more than pleased.
