Got all the upper parts together FINALLY!
Last item was the barrel from Optics Planet. The price was very good! First it was in stock and then it was Backordered... Delivered in 20 days from order. Not terrible bad in the time of Amazon.
Mainly Aero with a Wilson Combat 16" barrel. Really like the way the Aero Enhanced Upper attaches the barrel and handguard. Reports of accuracy of Wilson Combat barrels have been very encouraging. The lower is incognito with a LaRue 2 stage and Magpull PRS Lite.

Planning to hit the range next week. Gotta decide which scope to mount, not a 3rd world problem. Glass for now and maybe thermal in the future?

Assembled, cleaned, and lubed. Heading to the range next week for initial site-in.
The LaRue mount with Leupold was pulled off a different gun. No adjustments necessary for boresighting? That's why I like LaRue!

Let us know how it shoots! It looks like a Dandy build. I was at Sheels Thursday and they had several kinds of powder and primers. I bought a 1000 Remington small pistol primers for $84+tax. Most powder was $30+ a pound but at least they had a variety. The ammo shelves were full but the only 6.5 Grendel ammo on the shelf was Wolf Military Classic 100 grain FMJ, $17 for twenty.
My area seems to run a little behind getting reloading components so maybe youll find powder and primers. The only 6.5/264 bullets were heavier bullets more suitable for 6.5 CM/6.5x55/260.

Yesterday I went to a nearby 25 yard indoor range to verify the boresight. Functioned as it should. Optics, a 3.5-10 Leupold VX 3HD Firedot on top of a LaRue C.A.N.
First group was high and right about 2". Adjusted second group to be 1"high.
4 shot groups, both one hole. While not definitive, it's a good start until I can shoot 100/200 yards on paper.

Lots of reputable sources for assembly. This website will can answer most questions. Brownells, Midway, and AR15.com have step by step instructions. Aero and most manufacturers want you to succeed with their builds and provide the nuances to assemble an accurate rifle. Good luck and post pictures.
