Who makes Barnes labeled Grendel Brass? Is it Hornady or Norma sized flash holes. I got given a batch and don't want to break a decapping pin. Thx.

Barnes was bought out by the Remington/Freedom Group and Barnes released ammunition for the 6.5 Grendel at about the same time Remington released 6.5 Grendel ammunition. After the bankruptcy I dont know if Vista Outdoors/Federal bought Barnes but I read Vista is now operating Remington ammunition production. My guess it is either coming from the original source of Remington brass or Federal since Federal sells 6.5 Grendel ammunition. Remington 6.5 Grendel brass was reportedly better than Federal 6.5 Grendel brass.
Federal 6.5 Grendel brass is not very good brass for reloaders so hopefully Barnes is using Remington. I have no first hand experience with Remington 6.5 Grendel ammunition or brass but a few forum members bought Remington 6.5 Grendel ammo.

I forgot about Sierra buying Barnes but Sierra was also bought out from the original owners a couple years ago. Sierra originally was in California and the original owner then moved Sierra to Sedalia Missouri. I never heard who actually bought out Sierra but Sierra has started selling ammunition. I assumed Sierra was using Starline brass since they are next door to each other in Sedalia and have a close working relationship. Im curious if Barnes Ammunition and Sierra Ammunition is manufactured at the same facility.
My assumption might be all wrong as I have no facts to support my hypothesis. I looked at Remingtons web sight and they still list one 6.5 Grendel cartridge. Barnes shows two types of 6.5 Grendel ammunition. Remington does not list 6.5 Grendel brass for sale as a reloading component.

FEDERAL Makes a LOT of brass for other Companies I HEAR .
