Did some accuracy testing with this combo. Was a little disappointed.
Hornady 1x, CCI 41
108 Gn Lapua Scenar
29.0-29.9 gr Tac
2.26 COAL +/- .002
18 Odin works upper with matched bolt.
Only seemed to have one decent node. Top right corner of the picture. This has been the case for the most part with my hand loads except 130gr ELD-M and Lever. My other attempts with BLC-2 and TAC with the 123 SST have been similar. H335 was a bit better. Maybe Ill give it a try with the 108s and decrease the coal to 2.245. Maybe the bullet needs more jump? Factory Hornady Match ammo is .75-1.2 Moa. I actually shot a 5 shot group with some old Hornady A-Max just to check and make sure I wasnt retarded today.
I was thinking these 108s would get me out a bit further without so much elevation.

I tried some work ups with those bullets recently. I was not impressed. They're OK, but not what I was hoping for. I saw some potential with CFE 223.

If anything, try less jump. I don't have a lot of experience with the 108s but I've shot thousands of 123 gr Scenars in both Grendel and Creedmoor with a 0.01-0.03 jump.

The 108 Scenars and the 107 SMKs about drove me crazy trying to get them to shoot in my Grendels. Finally figured out the 107s but the 108s eluded me. I now load them and shoot them in my 18 6.5 Creedmoor and they shoot well for me. Who knew?

I didn't have any luck with TAC, PPV or 8208. Still have half a box on the shelf (probably tried other powders I can't remember).
I have a 18" Odin barrel as well. I haven't tried these bullets in it yet, but plan to.
From what I remember, I was thinking my gun just couldn't get them fast enough to stabilize.
I'm going to give them another try with N135. The Sierra 107's really like it in my Odin barrel.

I had good results with the 108 Scenar paired with IMR 8208 XBR.
I shot a ladder from 27.4gr to 29.0gr.
The group sizes varied but the center of the groups were all in the same spot relative to my aiming point. This rarely ever happens. Nice to know if I throw a wild charge weight the bullet will still land in the same spot not that far away.
I used FGMM AR primers, COL 2.26, new Hornady cases.
Best group was at 28.6gr. Group was circular, where as the previous group had a vertical spread and the following group had a horizontal spread. Good pattern if you believe in barrel harmonics.
Need to work on seating death to finalize this load. Right now it is a 0.9 MOA load, I hope to knock it down to 3/4 MOA.

Iirc the 108 being the same shape as the 123 but the weight is just set further back. I would try less jump if possible as you are probably pretty far off the lands. Get a bullet comparitor, or make your own to find out how far out you are. I recall not loading them anymore because the bearing surface was long amd there wasn't as much of a speed jump from lower weight. I still have a bunch of the 108s if anyone wants measurements.

Thanks for the tips everyone. A bullet seating depth gauge is next on the list. Just ordered a magneto speed chrono so itll have to wait.
