Decided to build a 6 arc instead of a 6.5 - 3404speed - 03-08-2022
Hey guys, i received some good advice on here but ive been swayed to the 6 arc. I dont plan to reload and 6 arc has the most reasonable factory match ammo available. I plan to do mostly bench shooting and always wanted to touch 1000 yards, i know its not easy but its kinda a bucket list thing now. I know the 6.5 grendel is a capable cartridge but decided to go with the 6arc purely for the long range capabilities over the 6.5 grendel while sacrificing some of the hunting capability of the 6arc.
I ended up ordering a 20 6arc upper from atheris.
Heres the specs, from what i could find the barrel is supposedly machined from liberty blanks made by saturn

Ive researched quite a bit and the only negative thing ive been able to find is the lead times. Estimated around 14 weeks.
I know its not a precision firearms or odin works or larue but it was in my price point. $600 shipped. We will see.
I plan on running a aero m4e1 lower with a larue mbt-2s trigger with a magpul prs lite stock and a anarchy outdoors precision rifle grip along with a magpul bipod.
I guess the good thing about the lead time is i have enough time to research a scope lol
I figured the 6 arc isnt too bad since its 6.5 grendels slightly smaller brother lol

I've got both and like both. The 6Arc is probably better for reaching 1K.
There is a sister forum for the 6mm ARC, 6mmarc.com, you'll find lots of info there, several guys belong to both.
