Looking to get a 18 inch barrel for my build. I am not looking to spend crazy amount but dont want absolute junk. How do you guys feel about Odin or ballistic advantage ? Will be ordering a bcg as well.
Will be used for coyote hunting

No experience with an 18" ballistic advantage barrel, but this is what my 16" ballistic advantage barrel does for me.

Ive had the best results with Lilja and my LaRue.
My Lilja is a really lightweight profile but plenty accurate.
The LaRue is more of a medium-heavy contour.

I haven't found a great load for my Odin barrel yet. Still working on it.

I've heard good things about Wilson Combat, but no personal experience with them or BA in Grendel.
Might want to try looking at Shaw barrels. Looks like they have one for $210, but 4-5 weeks out.

Criterion, ballistic advantage, Wilson combat, and Odin works are around the $300 mark and from what Ive seen mostly good reviews

I have been very happy with my LaRue that I bought in a kit. I have a ballistic advantage in 5.56 (12")that I'm happy with too. Hard to beat the LaRue complete upper for the $$$$.

A Lilja 319 (18.8") is worth the wait. Coyotes and foxes are small targets so you need all the accuracy you can get to be humane.
The difference between a noticeably average and top-shelf barrel only is a couple of hundred dollars. Not a lot in the scheme of things.

+1. You need accuracy, the $200 difference in the barrel will be more than compensated by the ammo you won't need to shoot in getting your good load. And the ammo savings will only get better from there. To paraphrase, "Only accurate barrels are interesting."

Go for a BCA barrel. I have a 24" SS that shoots
5/8" 100 yards groups with 90 gr TNTs and can't complain. Spend money on glass.

Weve been seeing reports on those for many years now, and your experience is not the norm. Its great when you land on a hummer accidentally and what everyone hopes for when they roll the dice, but just isnt how things work.

WILSON COMBAT barrels are as good as any above talked about,,,,,any,,,, accurate, available and reasonable, do yourself a favor. show me a side by side camparison of a wilson combat barrel with any other in real time,,,,,,real time,,,,,,

Price pretty much equals quality in barrels, with a few cheap good ones, and a few dud expensive ones.
BCA cannot charge high prices for a reason.
