Newbie looking for guidance. I would like to load some 120 grain PPU HP's.
Vol 1 of the Grendel handbook peters out to just listing a max loading of 29.4 9f 2460 for 108 Scenars with no other data. After that they jump to 2520 for the heavier loads. Is 2460 too fast for 120's?
Just looking for accuracy, velocity is nice but not my goal. I would be happy with 2400ish fps.
Can I use 8208 data as a starting point? Thanks for your help. Dave
Will be used in an AR so mag length restricted.

In the Western Powders manual for 6.5 Grendel using Accurate 2460 powder for the 120 gr. Nosler Ballistic Tip they list a starting load of 24.7 gr. with maximum load of 27.4 gr. which is shown to give ~ 2400 fps at a maximum COAL of 2.230

I dont have load for 120gr, but its my go to powder in my pig load.
Sierra 85gr with 30.4 gives me 2840 out of a 20 inch PSA upper. 2.125 coal. Sub moa out to 300.
