We lost forum member "Rabiddawg" - myrifle - 09-25-2021
This is A5BLASTER.
I just found out today that our dear friend Rabiddawg was killed on the 5th of this month in a boating accident.
Just thought some members here would like to know and add his family too your prayers.
This is hitting me kind if hard right now, me and Dawg was close friends.

I had been out of touch with most everyone outside of my dad and my best friend tim for the last few months.
Needed a break from the world. So when I got back a week early from work, I decided to slap toghter a new grendel to use for some bolt testing that I hadn't done yet.
Well being who I am, I seen Dawg a snappy sarcastic text message with a few pics. Then his wife texted me too news.
I felt like absolute crap, I'm sure my text had stored up emotions that had not yet settled and caused her more pain.
For those that didnt know dawg real well, he was a hell of a great dude and dedicated to his family above all else. We spoke often vie phone calls and text messages about guns and hunting.
We had planned a hunting trip toghter for this season.
Going to hold true to the plans and say good bye to my friend the best way this coonass knows how to do come January.
He will be missed but not forgotten.

Any lost is terrible. I did not know the man, but I sit here with tears in my eyes for his family. I lost my baby brother (who I raised until he was 4) in May. To his family, I cannot express in words how sorry I am for you.

I lost a close friend to cancer a few years ago. Even though we knew it was coming, when he passed, it was still a shock. Feeling the loss of someone who was as close as a brother was emotionally painful. I missed our talks, the camaraderie felt when we were reenacting the Fur Trade era (mountain men). I had dreams of my friend for quite a long time after he went to the big rendezvous in the sky. He was still alive in those dreams. We could still talk in those dreams & pass the jug of "apple pie" when sitting around the fire in his Tepee. The dreams faded eventually but I still miss my friend. A5, you have my sincerest condolences. If you have dreams of 'Dawg, I hope they are fun dreams about the things you liked to do together. Prayers to you & 'Dawg's family...
