What is everyone's opinion on 2 piece scope rings versus a 1 piece cantilever style scope ring set up for an ar-15

One piece cantilevers permit the correct eye relief without the forward ring being attached to the handguard. The upper is a more stable interface to the barrel than a handguard so the popular preference in AR's is one-piece cantilevers.
