Hi, All. Glad I found this forum watching ARFCOM's video on the 12-inch 6.5 Grendel barrel. I have decided to transition my arsenal to 6.5G for both of my rigs. I run an 18-inch rifle with a bipod and a big scope, and I will reconfigure my Home Defense pistol to a 12-inch Monster barreled shorty. I currently run an 8-inch 300 Blackout, but with ALL ammo so hard to find, why not stick with the best one, right? I will keep my 10.5-inch 5.56 upper around in case the SHTF.
Now all I am missing is a place to hunt with these. Anyone within 200 miles of Houston got too many hogs or deer or pests on their land?

Welcome Hipster. This forum is a great trove of info for a lot of things, It took me months to go through all the old posts.
You bring up a topic many of us face, how to allocate the primers, powders, brass, bullets we have as getting any more right now is nigh improbable.
Myself, I give about 1/2 to .223, 1/4 to Grendel and 1/4 to all the rest, mainly as long ago I got .223 LC once fired brass for $15.00 per thousand, bullets are on the low cost side and its use of powder is pretty low as well.
The .223 for close to medium range (500 yards?) and 6.5 Grendel for up to 800 yards.

Welcome to the clan, HH5, from another loyal Texian! Why not just pick some more uppes and have both? Also, while pickin' up "stuff", pick up Vol's 1 and 2 of the Grendel Handbook. It has a wealth of info on reloading for the Grendel!
