LaRue 6.5 Grendel UU Kit - BowChamp - 01-24-2021

This is a complete LaRue 6.5 Grendel rifle, minus the stock and scope. It is well worth the money I spent getting it!!!

This is a pic of the first 3 shots ever fired from this rifle at 100 yds. using Hornady Black Match ammo.

I made my scope adjustments and fired the next 5 shots into this group.

LaRue 6.5 Grendel UU Kit - BowChamp - 08-09-2021

Made it out to the range this weekend with my 2nd purchased Larue Ultimate Upper Kit in 6.5 Grendel and here are some results with handloads we cooked up.

We fired 3 shots groups trying to beat the heat and humidity!!!

Here is a pic of two 3 shot groups fired by different shooters, almost didn't catch the lower group.

They do shoot very well.

I had the pleasure of shooting a third one. It groups in the 1/2" range with factory ammo. Funny thing is....the gentleman sent it back because he claims it is a piece of S!!T and doesn't function with his handloads. After he got it back,( LaRue said there were no issues), he claims it is no better because "HIS" handloads will not cycle in the rifle. He refuses to try factory ammo!!!

I've personally put over 100 rounds of factory ammo and "MY" handloads through his rifle with 100% function and to boot....my handloads are printing some 3/8" groups!!!

After all this...he still won't sell it to me!!!! :confused:

Well...made it out to the range today with my buddy and his junky LaRue 6.5 Grendel.

It appears he is starting to listen just a little. We shot quite a few of his handloads and his rifle worked great.

Made it back to the range today and went LONG!!!!......Well...as long as we could...400 yds!!

We tried something new today......Shooting prone and all I can say is...I LIKE IT!!

The rifle of choice was...you guess it...My LaRue 6.5 Grendel.

Todays load- Lapua 123gr scenar, 27.6gr ArComp.

Chronographed at 2480 FPS Average of 5 shots.

This was my first 3 shots of the day. Called the lower shot and off to a good start.

Made a slight adjustment and when my turn came back around...I fired these 3 shots and again...called the shot to the right. Right about now I'm thinking this is very Cool!!

We shot a few more rounds and the mirage was really wearing on our eyes. Took a quick break for a biscuit left over from breakfast and decided to try my hand at a 5 shot group.

Dropped down on the matt and all the stars came together with a very small cloud that broke the mirage ever so slight...took my time and pressed 5 shots out rather quickly everytime the target cleared.

And again...I called the farthest shot to the right at 3'oclock. This is where my dot was sitting when the shot broke. Go figure!!! LOL!!!

I know there are alot better shooters than I.......but I still enjoy this and shooting prone is definitely going to get used alot more.
