I have a 6.5 Grendel in a CZ527 rifle, and I'm hoping to learn how to develop accurate loads for it. If anyone has had success with this caliber in this rifle, let me know.

I have been reloading rifle cartridges for many years, but I am new to the 6.5 Grendel. Although I have only shot about 75 rounds through the rifle, I have been disappointed with the performance of the cartridge. Three shot groups at 100 yards, with various bullets, powders, OALs, etc, the groups average around 1-1/2 inches. I'm looking for the magic combination.

Factory ammo is almost nonexistent. I reload my own ammunition for almost all cartridges. So far I have tried Sierra 107 HPBT-Match and Hornady 123 SST. I have loaded them with varying amounts of Benchrest, H335, and 8208 powders. I have adjusted OAL based upon base to ogive lengths (as I shoot one at a time). The rifle is free floated from the factory, I use a 6-18x scope, and I employ the single-set trigger. I anchor the rifle in a steady rest. Judging from the rave reviews I have read, I expected much better results, though I am still looking to find better loads.

i have a few accuracy tests loaded, have only done the velocity ladders so far
i should get out in the next couple of weeks. i will post results when i get done
this is what i have loaded
123 eld over cfe223
123 sst over arcome
123 sst over 8208
123midway over varget (i think this is actually an eld)
107 tmk over 8208
even during the velocity ladder it was @ 1.5 moa, but it was 10 rounds with diff charges so i wasnt expecting anything great

My Cz accuracy improved after I relieved the stock where the barrel was completely free floated. My Cz is a 527 American and once the barrel gets hot accuracy deteriorates. My Cz accuracy is improving the more I shoot it whether it is me getting better or the barrel I cant say. Your groups were comparable to mine when I first got my Cz.
