Gents,
As a resident of the once great state of California. In 30 plus years California has gone from one of the greatest states to a complete cesspool. Rampant crime, illegal aliens, drug use, LGBTABCEFG people, poverty, high taxes to name a few hundred. The other states of the US have a power we dont here in California. The power for your vote, it can still make difference. NEVER, EVER, give up. ALWAYS vote!
What killed us here was Republicans, and others gave up. Elections were decided with 17% of eligible voters voting! Critical decisions on militant political candidates, tax increases, immigration laws, criminal laws. Many said screw it my vote doesnt count. IT DOES COUNT! If your line of thinking falls here, you will get the Government you deserve.
I dont have a beef with the alphabet people, LBTGPQRST, BUT their agenda has a stranglehold on California politics, public schools, boys can think they are girls and do their business in GIRLs bathrooms! Gay politicians changing laws that favor lowering the age that a child can be considered adult for sex. Gay history in schools. Attacks, on the Church, mandates for birth control paid by the church. Mandates that would force Priests to break the Priest/Confession right.
Homelessness, huge tax increases to fund homeless care LA City spending $700,000 per unit for homeless housing. Waste,
70% of the homeless dont even accept the offered aid. They want drugs, booze, cigarettes and to be left alone.
And near and dear to all our hearts here is Gun Control. Goofy hand grips, we can have this but not that. Background checks for ammo. Californias firearms code is literally dozens of pages long!
So the lesson here is keep voting, kick those in the butt who say it is useless and get them to vote. I have fought this crap for 35 years, but if you give up, then you will get the country you deserve. A2

Things will get tough but remember that the left has always used the divide and conquer approach. They want us demoralized. Ain't gonna happen here.
Am looking for someone who has the Regan sort of personality that can unite conservatives, libertarians, and those democrats who are appalled at the radicals who are taking over their party and turning it into a Communist tyranny.
Don't know who it will be but who ever it is needs to step up pretty quick.

I live in New York and I hear what you are saying. I do not blame politicians anymore since everyone votes for their own self interests. The solution for being represented and getting your tax dollars to benefit your ideology is to have only TAX PAYERS VOTE! I believe if you do not pay taxes or are exempt from paying taxes or receive subsidies you cannot vote. I also believe if you do not pay taxes or are exempt from paying taxes and or are subsidized you should not be able to make campaign contributions. I also believe that if you are a public sector union member and the tax payers pay for your benefits and early retirement you should not be able to vote. Taxpayers are flipping the bill for everything including their own noose!
In other words it is like the child dictating to his parents the terms and sum of their allowance... it is illogical!
If you want to make a a resounding impact and make the system take notice is to have everyone withhold their taxes, all of D.C. and the businesses that feed off redistributed tax dollars and their cronies will be out of work. Redistribution is what the killed Blue States and is what is killing America! Bums, now think they are ENTITLED to take your money in exchange for Marxism! If you want charity, go to your church that is their sole purpose and that is why 5013c's exist. Now churches have become a businesses and Bums have become an economic class that in turn have become a voting block.
All one has to do is to Google The Grace Commission. Income taxes do not pay a Nickle on spending, income taxes pays the INTEREST on the debt we borrow from Central banks. So who benefits from spending? The banks are making a killing on every dime spent! How much interested will be collected on a National debt of $28 TRILLION DOLLARS? Why do you think the government who are bought and paid for by bankers spend us into oblivion, because their masters are profiting mightily from it!

I'm in total agreement. I've often thought that eliminating payroll withholding of taxes would make fiscal conservative out of a lot of people. If people had to sit down and write checks to the feds and state every three months it would change minds.

Close monitoring of voting and counting by reps from all relevant political parties

You won't get a change to the way we are taxed.
You won't change the constitution so only those who pay taxes can vote.
With a anti American leftist controlled House and Presidency, you won't get legislation forcing them to be clean in any election.
If you want to keep your civil liberties, you better face the facts of today, not some utopia that you won't see unless conservatives get a 2/3 majority in both houses and all of them are on board.
Face the facts as they are now -- you better get involved via a pro gun organization that can pool money and get the legal power to counteract the Marxists who just took power.
One other thing -- don't tell me how much you hated or still hate Trump. He did not ban your semi automatic rifles or your Glocks. Biden is about to do just that. Those of you who didn't vote, voted for a libertarian, or voted for Biden because you hate Trump got what you want so I imagine you will pack up your firearms and be ready to hand them to Beto before getting 'cleansed' and 'deprogrammed'.

As far as the Utopia, I disagree that Republicans are going to CHANGE anything FEDERALLY! The only Utopia is thinking GOP congress or Senate, will represent you....AGAIN! They had slipped up so many times when they controlled BOTH Houses! They even turned on TRUMP!
Change will come about through STATE government, as in Constitutional Carry, or Magazine capacity laws, reciprocity, etc.!
As far as abortion look at the heart beat law.
Look also at Marijuana legalization, etc.!
The GOP FEDERALLY, is as bought and paid for as The DNC, it is a an Illusion Of Choice. Look no further than The Supreme Court, how many of the Justice that were SELECTED are true conservatives? As a conservative I cringe with every nomination to the court that a GOP leader picks! If it wasn't for Scalia and Thomas, we would have been Venezuela years ago! We had to sit through Warren, Burger, O'Connor, Stevens, Souter (who retired under Obama, who then picked Sonia Sotomayor) and Roberts!
As far as the way we are taxed we already have states that do not collect STATE income taxes. Again more states can become state income tax exempt those states are outpacing all others in population growth. As less TAXES is a popular idea and is a lead indicator of choosing a state to move to! I am sure income tax reform should be a popular notion as well. You are right the House as it stands today will never vote for tax reform, just like The GOP controlled house didn't either! That is why we have to rely on STATE legislation as much as possible!
The Utopia is not from The House, it will come through state government! The GOP should have reinstated the 17th amendment, when they controlled BOTH the House and Senate. The 17th amendment was the lynchpin for the left getting a foot hold in the Senate. The 17th amendment HAD the Governors, choose their Senators, it made States more powerful. It in FACT it had people voting for the Governor, for the mere fact he had the power to select the Senators! WHAT WOULD THE SENATE LOOK LIKE TODAY "IF" we would of reinstated the 17th amendment??????
Oh...you can change the way you vote. Take a page from the left, EVERY SWING STATE had paper ballots that DID NOT have to be signed or have a place of residence assigned to a voter. It was upheld in BOTH the state courts and the supreme courts. In Michigan there were more votes tallied than people, add to that the Dominion "glitches" and irregularities". National elections, as we saw in 2020, are controlled by the states outright. Rules differ from state to state and they are counted different from state to state, heck Vermont and Maine allow PRISONERS to vote! Red sates need to learn how to push their agendas and not just watch the left force stuff down our throats. In N.Y. new born babies can be "aborted", or killed at birth! Again RED STATES need more than just talk conservatives are praying that there would be leaders who actually PUSH for conservative agendas and laws down Marxist throats!
Getting involved in gun organizations is fine and dandy, the problem is we as conservatives, have given up on the culture war. We have to BOTH set up a media presence and a set up charter school or have massive home-schooling legislation, to counter balance the indoctrination that takes place @ 4years old!! As conservatives we do not even have a platform that we control or be sure we cannot be kicked off of for simply stating FACTS or opinions! It is scary how far we acquiesced our rights, because some organization or group will fight on our behalf, that is LAZY!! How many "NEWS" outlets are conservative? To start and compete in the CULTURE WAR we need MONEY!
Gun rights are going to be passed by using the lefts failed policies against them. As conservatives we should be joining the left in defunding the Police by EMPHASIZING they are not needed if you can carry a firearm by expressing your 2nd Amendment rights. Point to Americans that are not on the left or right, that watched Police departments in MOST Blue cities stand down and KNEEL while riots escalated, cities burned and stores were looted! Those people who were effected by the riots, were better off having their tax dollars go to an AR-15 or pistol than a police departments new MRAP! Explain to them how the cities with the worst crime statistics have gun control! Explain how Jim Crowe existed only because African Americans were not allowed to own firearms!
The Utopia, is thinking we can compete by (A) not having tax reform which funds our enemies with our own tax dollars or (B) thinking some House member hundreds or even thousands of miles away is going to vote on your agenda without funneling them money through a lobbyist, that big tech conglomerate's, oligarchs and central banks have around their pinky! Maybe we can buy voting machines that rig elections for us...LOL!
Political FREEDOM and economic FREEDOM, go hand in hand...you cannot have one without the other! The more of our money the government has the more corruption exists and thrives!

I live in leftist Missoula, "which is a hub of leftist implants" attracted by the leftist U of M. This city passed it's own gun control laws, at great expense to the citizens of Missoula. It was shut down by our pro gun attorney general and a new law was passed, "preventing anymore such local ordinances" which violate Montana's Constitution. It was because of the citizens who live in the rural areas, "that voted in the pro gun majority" that has taken over our state government. The media in Montana is just as bias against guns as the national media, yet Montana citizens saw right through the propaganda. You are confused on the subject at hand. I live in N.Y. my income taxes are going to be higher than someone who lives in a state with a lower standard of living, we would BOTH pay income taxes, I will pay more. You do understand the difference?
Also in your equation states like Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming levy no STATE income tax. New Hampshire and Tennessee, don't tax earned wages. While Tennessee used to tax investment income and interest. Again.. you should reevaluate your assumption on taxes collected versus not paying! The States that forgo paying State Income taxes have less money going to D.C. to be redistributed! Maybe...just maybe...if you kept more of your own TAX dollars you wouldn't need to ask for most of it back!
Here is another example on STATE collection of taxes NOT federal collection to drive the point even further on what you call "carrying", in NY I pay $8,000 a year on property tax , my buddy in W. Virginia pays $300 on 31 acres! We BOTH pay property tax foolishly I pay more!
N.Y. a BLUE state is $350 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT, N.Y. has a $71 TRILLION DOLLAR in state REVENUE to SPENDING, DEFICIT! Each citizen (legal) carries an $18,000 debt off the bat!
N.Y. is so bad we are shedding 100,000 people a year! Right now to move out of the city you have to wait 4 months just to get in line for a moving truck service, that's how backed up they are in the midst of the EXODUS!

What does winning states have to do with income tax payers, or those states major CITIES political demographics?? Of these 15 states how many of their MAJOR cities are run by Democrats?
Missouri, is a Red State who runs St. Louis and Kansas City?
PA, a swing state was somehow Red, in your article who runs Philly and Pittsburgh and who is their Gov.?
Michigan another swing state is magically listed as Red who runs Detroit, and who is their Gov.?
OH another swing state was some how RED, but who runs Cleveland and Cincinnati?
Arizona another swing state with Democrat run Phoenix and Tucson.

LA is listed as RED, who is their Gov. and who runs New Orleans?
If you take these cites out of the equation come election time would these states ever be BLUE??
The best part of your article is the 1st sentence "No ranking like this is ever going to be perfect. Followed by...Some things you can definitely say, like where the states that have the highest per capita income or pay the most in taxes. No DUH...LOL!! Not once does it mention the number or percentage of taxpayers or their political demographics, probably for a very good reason...LOL!!!!!!!!
