Hey whole new to The Forum and the caliber I recently purchased a 20in Grendel Hunter stainless upper I have a stag lower ready to go with a rifle buffer tube rifle spring and rifle weight for a 556 chambered rifle the barrel rifle length gas tube what is the correct buffer weight for the 6.5 Grendel round
Secondly what are you full of your thoughts on the Grand Ole Hunter products
20 inch barrel gas block gas tube slanted muzzle brake handguard I have a complete stag upper with a 556 bolt carrier group I purchased the 6-5 bolt from Maxim firearms slide right into the bolt carrier I already have
I guess my questions are one. Your thoughts on the Grendel Hunter

Bill designed the grendel to run on standard weight buffer/spring parts.
Cant speak to the grendel hunter stuff because they use a chamber I wont own, so have no personal experiences with their products.

Provided the gas port is the proper size the 20 barrel with rifle buffer tube, rifle length spring with rifle buffer should be a very pleasant smooth shooting rifle. Last I read Grendel Hunter was using Satern/Liberty barrels with Grendel II chamber but GH products get good reviews. Take it out and shoot and let us know how you like it.

Standard rifle buffer should do you just fine.

But your Stag lower should work without issue. Grendel Hunter are good people. I own a few of their handguards.

The H2 buffer smoothed out my 20" , and 16" Grendels. I use the adjustable stock- so carbine length is needed. Standard spring. Runs great.

I run a heavier buffer (H3) in my 16 with a suppressor. No issues so far. My gas block is also adjustable so it has been adjusted to be used with my suppressor on it.

I have a 20 Grendel Hunter upper that I put on my old Stag Arms lower and it functioned fine. Very pleasant to shoot and excellent groups.
Im curious about the chamber now though. Care to elaborate A5Blaster? I dont recall seeing anything negative about GH when I was researching before my purchase.
I just read that GH does not use the compound throat in the chamber.
