Hello Grendellites,
I don't have a 6.5 yet but hope to find one that fits what I would like to do with it. Hunting deer no further than maybe 300yds. I have truly enjoyed my 20" AR-15 and 16" M4 at ranges out to about 200 yds. I have not shot them since last year sadly, but hope to sooner than later . . . When I was shooting them I expanded their fun by adding .22LR conversion kits.
Well now I am thinking of adding a 20" upper in . . . 6.5 Grendel to hunt deer with.
I have already learned much from this forum and while I doubt I can contribute much to the experts here, I hope to not ask too many redundant questions that "newbies" tend to ask, but always seem to. I promise to try and find the answers by searching here and elsewhere BEFORE posting a question.
By the "user name" I picked, Upland Hunter, you would be correct to guess that is one of my hobbies. I hunt Pheasants, Chucker, and Quail; following my Brittany Spaniel from field to field. I was truly blessed with a sweet hunting dog. At 4 yrs old we are still working on retrieving, but her finding, pointing, flushing and following skills are solid.

Having multi generational hunting dog families are special. We have had long lines of GSP's and Spinger's in my family, I am the first with a Brittany! Come to think of it, I will be the first with a Grendal too! Nothing like breaking with tradition!!!
