Just saying hello from up in Maine... Coming over here because at this point I'm pretty sure my gun friends' eyes have rolled completely to the back of their heads from the amount of talking I do about this cartridge. Hoping this is the place to let my opinions fly without being stoned!
At the moment my one and only ar15 is chambered in 6.5 grendel... the platform never peaked my interest until one of my buddies started talking about it. First gun is a 20" light-ish hunting grendel clocking in at 7 lbs 2 oz with a 5rd magazine in. 6 lbs 12 oz with optic and 5 lbs 13 oz naked. I plan on posting some pics of it soon as it's a bit of an oddball.

I'm thinking next I might do a shorter upper... Maybe with a red dot I'm not sure. I'm into the challenge of keeping the weight down, makes it interesting for me. Also interested in getting into loading for it, some of the data I've seen for the 90-100gr bullets looks interesting to me. Doesn't hurt that they are relatively inexpensive!
