That is a very interesting "quick read" article. I wonder if the conclusions are valid? I suspect the 6.5 grendel is not a barrel burner but I suspect that due to the fact velocities are quite a bit lower & powder charges quite a bit less than say a .260. If this graph has any validity, it could be very useful to anyone considering or comparing a particular caliber or calibers.

Define "barrel burner"? My definition is a cartridge which shows significant degradation in accuracy at less than 2000 rounds. My WSM 7mm, for instance, qualifies.
But the Grendel? Not even close! I went almost 6000 rounds before I saw the Grendel drop off in accuracy, and it was still sub MOA at that point. I just couldn't shoot .25 MOA groups with it anymore.
It's a relatively low pressure round, so that helps, too.
You want to see a really low number, look at the Beowulf! It's index is like 178!
