does anyone know of any Flip up BUIS sights with a Bullet drop compensator built in? I like the Knights Armament micro 600 but that is for 5.56 Thanks

they are kind of pointless.......the front sight post covers up a huge amount of a target. I am elated if I can shoot a 4" group at 100 yards.......take it out to 200 yards and I can't even see the center of the 12" target let alone accurately place bullets on target using the iron sights.
Now, if you are shooting at "big" targets, then that's a different story.

I use the KAC 600 on my Grendel and shoot 8x13" steel plates out to 300 yards with iron sights. What is good about the 600 is the fact it is click adjustable so you can use it for any caliber by counting clicks.

Matech makes something like your talking about, but really if you take the time to learn the right way to utilize iron sights they all are built to be able to engage targets up to 800 yards, but it does take practice and you won't be going for tight groups just hits. I personally feel that everyone should learn how to use iron sights and be proficient at doing so, it is a very valuable skill to have.

Irons at distances past about 200 are best left to the KD ranges where one has a large black circle on a six foot square white background. Or, nice big black targets on a snow field. Basically, if the target does not have perfect contrast with the background and is about four minutes in size -- equally proportioned -- seeing it through irons is almost impossible past about 200. Contrast is probably more important than size in most cases. All the practice in the world won't make up for not being able to see anything smaller than a car if the target even slightly blends into the background.
The back up irons are there for a very good purpose. To be better than no sight at all if the primary sight fails. As a precision sight, they are not and never were intended to be. I have seen a couple different issued versions and own a couple more. All of them suck compared to a M-16A2 rear and fixed front sight. The issued ones flipped up under recoil so we had to green tape them down and their elevation may have been accurate but the other parts of them were so dicked up that no one could ever find out if they really worked. When you cranked elevation, the entire rear sight itself would move left and right as well. Back up irons they were. Quality, they were not.
If a person wants to become good when using irons, get irons whose purpose is to be the primary sight. A good start in these regards would be a National Match M-16A2 rear sight with interchangeable apertures and a standard or National Match front sight assembly that is fixed (does not flip up). And ensure that the front sight assembly is not canted in terms of alignment with the barrel and rear sight.

I've used my Matech sight on my Grendel out to 550 yards. Although it is calibrated for 5.56, it works reasonably well with the Grendel.

I have a KAC rear sight. It's a rotating cylinder with a peep on top. It was fairly accurate out to 450yd (I set it between "4" and "5" and hit my torso steel plate).

It's simple and low profile.
I don't believe that I need the numbers on my sight to correlate perfectly to the distances. I just have to know where each setting is going to impact with my particular load.
Ideally, I like the click-adjustable sights like the standard A2, but for a back-up this should work well. At least for my purposes.

That is an excellent ranging rear sight. I had one on my M4 clone and sold it to my son. He uses it but it is better suited for the 5.56 vs the 6.5G since it does not have fine adjustments between each setting like the KAC has.
