Near double the barrel life for an extra $180 would be worth it to me. Factoring in cost/work of the labor of replacing a worn barrel, ammo/time costs of new load development makes the savings very attractive!

Sounds interesting, the higher round count could definitely save $ for those that shoot out barrels n a regular basis, like a benchrest shooter I know says they make barrels while we sleep, perhaps Bartlein wants a nap also

I think BFT needs to get his pawns on some of this new steel and have some bolts made from it for us to test how much increase in wear it can take when compared too 9310 steel commonly used in grendel bolts.

thats going to depend on its mechanical properties
i would imagine the hardness was upped to help stop wear
it would need to go a long way from 416 to match 9130
