Well thx to Es350 for inspiring me to build 22 Grendel 40 degree , I received reamer from PTG and and already had barrel ready to go 24 Wilson 7 twist .750 gas block . 2 plus gas port . I drilled smaller gas port ,{ running suppressed } . Now time to get some loads worked up !

Im curious what velocity you can get with the 40 degree shoulder. The 30 degree shoulder 22 Grendel get some pretty good velocity. I was more interested in a 22 Grendel than a 224 Valkyrie, might have been interesting to see if a SAAMI approved 22 Grendel would garner sales.

Replied to your email, Thanks for sending a copy of your reamer print.
My reamer has a shorter neck /shoulder blowed out .0263 further, .255 neck and a .135 free Bore.
As I mentioned in my thread , from what info I could find my reamer is basically a necked down 6mm Grinch.

Still working on loads ! 31.0 grains of 2000 MR. and 80.5 Berger is really performing great 3165 FPS and no pressure signs . Accuracy under 1 . So hot here that I am not really interested in shooting 107 * today ! Built a Tikka bolt action rifle with a 22-250 barrel I had for fire forming ,not sure of twist that factory has on Tikka stainless barrels but it works great for fire forming . I had to modify factory extractor on it for extraction but works great and also feeds great from magazine . Dang! another rifle to shoot and load for , will try some loads with 50 Bergers on it with some faster powder . Built my hunting buddy a rifle with same barrel ,Wilson 7 twist ,24 2 plus gas tube , 750 gas block , my barrel not as heavy behind gas block but same length 24 .

Awesome, good #'s with the 80.5's.
I have been so busy with work no time for shooting or anything else! Has been pretty warm here too!
I have a 8 twist blank I need to get turned down, threaded and chambered for a Ruger Grendel action.
Plan to modify the mag , clearence the magwell to get an 88gr above neck / shoulder junction.... but that would make it have pretty long jump with any other bullet.
So may throat it for 80's and 88's be where they end up.

Smokin Joe, I'm guessing he used the chamber reamer to then make the sizing die.

Unlikely - Spent cases would not touch the sides and the neck would not hold a bullet. Cartridges need to be tighter than the chamber, especially in gas guns. And the neck definitely needs to be squashed tighter than the bullet.

I machined a size die reamer and size die, use a hornady 22 cal seat die to seat bullets.

I was wrong as usual, hehe. Es350- Machined your own reamers? that is a sweet skill to have! very cool. I would go broke playing around with different calibers haha .
