Anyone have recommendations on a 9/16-24 muzzle brake? Was looking at a vg6 but its not offered in that thread.

Alexander arms sells them. I have a used millennium compensator somewhere. If i can find it i would sell it for half what Alexander arms sells them for. But i might not find it. Let me know if you want me to look.

Forget the name of the company but there is a thread adapter that you can buy that will allow you to use any 308 brake on the AA 9/16x24 thread pattern.

I have 2 with, Stoner and Alexander, and 2 without. Really can't tell a difference between them while shooting. The threaded barrels look better with a brake on them, I guess.

I guess AA doesnt sell them anymore as its not listed on their website. The thread adapter is a good option I might look into that but Im thinking about getting the Area 419 hellfire as it wouldnt be that much more

Damn really? I have a 20inch barrel and while recoil is pretty minimal I was hoping it would help a little bit during some long range shooting.

I just bought one of these because I just bought a Magnetospeed and felt that my WCI brake would be blasting the crap outta the chrono.

I'll let you guys know how it performs. After browsing this thread, I might buy a converter and then get a .30cal SI Jcomp (which I've had great results with in 5.56).
Anyone have experience using a .30 cal comp with the Grendel?

Huh, I hadn't heard of the Hellfire (by Area419) and looked it up.

Don't mean to hijack the thread. JDub let me know how that brake works, because I was thinking of getting one too.
I've read various tests of using a 30 cal brake on a 6.5 and it appears that you would lose only 5% efficiency.

I just installed it a few days ago. The max length muzzle device the Magnetospeed maker recommends is 2.7" (the 4" WCI was actually hitting the chrony bayo). This chinese-made "Tacbro" is 2.75" so wish me luck.
I'm no so concerned with inefficient braking as opposed to POI shift...fingers crossed.
