12” Group Buy Green Mountain barrel 1:1.75 twist - VASCAR2 - 05-31-2020 12” Group Buy Green Mountain 1:7.5 twist Here is my latest upper I assembled yesterday. This a lapped Anderson upper with a 9” Right to Bear M-Lock hand guard, A-2 Flash Hider, CMMG gas block with a carbine length Nitride gas tube. Barrel is a Group Buy Green Mountain 12” 1:7.5 twist barrel with Monster logo and Millennium bolt. The scope is one I put on new builds till I decide on an optic, an old Japanese Tasco 2.5-10x42 in a RRA mount. This was my sight in target. First round was low left at 7 O Clock off hand at 25 yards to make sure I was on target. The black square is approximately 1”. After scope adjustment I shot two rounds of PPU 120 grain BT HP at 50 yards. I circled those to shots with an ink pin then shot two Hornady 123 grain ELD-M (my carry load). There are now three bullet holes in the right circled bullet hole. Thanks BFT I got one dandy barrel! I finished assembling the upper yesterday and fired two rounds of PPU 120 grain BT HP to check function. I put one round in the mag, chambered and fired. The round fired and ejected but the bolt did not lock back on the empty mag. I loaded one more round, chambered and fired. After that shot the bolt locked back on the empty mag. I tried a few single loaded cartridges to check for function today. Brass was ejected at 3 O Clock and bolt locked back every time. The pistol is very pleasant to shoot and properly gassed. I was using this upper on a PSA pistol lower I already owned. This lower has a SBA3 brace with supplied buffer and spring plus a RRA NM trigger. This 12” GM barrel was out of the last group buy. I love my 12 inch sixfivearms barrel in useing on the SIX8 parts, shoots great and functions perfectly. First impression are all very positive.
