Buffer kit question
Good afternoon new member here and new to the 6.5 grendel world , i just purchased a Grendel hunter complete upper with a 20" barrel just wondering if i can run a carbine mil spec buffer kit like my other ARs or since the barrel is longer on this one i will have to use a rifle length buffer kit ? Any help is appreciated thank you .

Welcome! Good choice on the Grendel Hunter upper. Good company, great CS, and very reasonable $. You can absolutely run your Carbine extension & buffer.
I personally would use this spring

Because it will shoot a little smoother, but there's no NEED to do so.

Im using standard Carbine buffer and spring which came supplied with my collapsable stock. The 6.5 Grendel 20 inch barrels are generally smooth shooters and if you own the standard carbine buffer Id try it first. I have a T2 and H2 buffer but have only used them on carbine gas 6.5 Grendel but I dont use suppressors.

I have an 18" Grendel Hunter complete upper and I have a standard carbine buffer and spring. No problems with rounds cycling or bolt locking back. It came with an adjustable gas block but I have not made any changes to it. Please share what spring and buffer you choose.

i have been using several different of the captured spring standard springs setups and all have worked well so far,,,,much less noise from the tube in my ear and some tunable to even be better

Ended up going with a 4.3 oz buffer weight and strike industries flat carbine spring have not tested it yet but will report back as soon as I do thanks for all the feeback guys

I love my JP captured spring. It is so much better that the regular spring and buffer. Less noise, tuneable and it actually feels better. To me anyway. Ill never willingly go back to the spoon over a cheese grater Lol
