I have finally gotten back to working on the Lead-Free Projectiles for the 6.5 Grendel post. Part of my absence has been other priorities in life (mostly) and finding a good place to shoot gels.
I recently lucked out and became aware of the Freedom Fighters Foundation in Escondido, CA. I was taking a pistol class and the FFF was the only location that the instructor could find in SD County that would permit the class during the COVID stay-at-home crisis.
I got introduced to one of the Board members who took an interest in my project. When I met him, he produced his Grendel and a first issue of Volume 1 of the Reloading Handbook! He is now a happy owner of Volume 2.
So he is going to assist me in doing some more gel testing work. He even took the opportunity to get some aerial shots with his drone.
Now to the point... FFF is a 501c3 nonprofit with a mission to further liberties and the 2A. They are letting me do this based on my donation.
I have never asked for support of the LFP work, and only received donations of some projectiles from manufacturers as noted in the thread.
So if you would be inclined to indirectly support this work, you might consider donating to FFF to keep this shooting location open and available (and further their mission). It is a large property, and hey have significant costs.

You can donate whatever amount you want. As little as $5. Mine was $50.
When I donated, I looked for a way to make a note, but there wasn't one. Would be nice to say its for the 6.5 Grendel community.

I contacted them and they said there was not a way to attach a note to the donation in the current system.
He suggested that we use an odd amount, like $xx.99 or $xx.01.
