Not the best but plenty good enough for me. The phone app alone is worth the price of the chronograph. All your shot history is stored on your phone, can even add a photo of the group to the shot list and keep it long as needed.
I had an older model Competition Electronics chronograph and this one is far better than it was.

I agree with Wheelhorse. Good for the cost and probably as good as you will need for a while.

I like my Magnetospeed Sportster. No Sun/weather worries. Well south of 200 bucks.

I haven't noticed any POI change with any of my rifes. But then again I'm not all that interested in what the groups are saying when I'm doing my chronagrah work.
I do my group testing after I finish my ladder and node work.

I'm with Blaster here. I do the Chrony work first then determine where I want to load for the nodes & MV the chronograph showed. I have shot for accuracy with it mounted and all I can say is, I seem to shoot better with it off than with it on. Nothing drastic in regard to group size. But I just shoot better with it off and focusing only on the data provided. (Mind games and a complete lack of multi-tasking).

I have a magnetospeed and won't go back to the others. I read in one of Litz's book the magnetospeed is accurate.

Had a Chrony for many years, than went with Labradar. Like it, only downfall at this point is I can't chrony shot gun loads.

Best bang for buck is ProChrono, $55. Add the digital link option for nor much, and it's also the best & fastest phone integration. It's a good kit, but subject to all the limitations of traditional chono's
Magnetospeed is better, but arguable if worth the >3x cost. And is limited on what it works with. Also, Heisenberg does not approve. Labradar is king, but for $600 I find it fragile, horrible interface, and while the bluetooth app helps, ProChrono's is light years better. Add overall LabRadar is more finicky than people say.
For your interests, just get the ProChrono

A recoil activated trigger and properly aiming the LabRadar have me at 100% reliability picking up my shots. I do agree the phone app could be better but is way easier to navigate than the built in buttons/screen.
For the op, ANY chrono beats no chrono.

There is a new LabRadar mobile application coming this year.
There seems to be a lot of QC variability with LabRadar. My unit is not finicky and picks up everything, my friend's unit is a steaming pile of junk. I put a MK Machine sight and RRS anti rotation Arca rail on my LR and it makes setting it up a little faster. Having used most of what is on the market I think the LR is probably the best but your points are definitely valid.

when developing a load
1) Single 10 shot Satterlee ladder (charting V chart) with Magnetospeed
2) Take best 2 or 3 and shot groups with no Magnetospeed
3) Optional, reshoot best group, if two good ones both with Magnetospeed

Ive got a Magnettospeed V5 that I like a lot. But if you dont want to spend that much money ,the sportster will also serve you well.

I have had Magnetospeed for several years and never had an issue with POI shifting
